2024 EVA Awards: Nominations Now Open!

We are thrilled to announce that nominations for the highly anticipated Annual Electric Vehicle Association Awards are officially open! As we celebrate the remarkable achievements of our members and our chapters over the past year, it is essential to recognize the innovators, advocates, and pioneers who have been instrumental in driving the sustainable transportation revolution forward. This is an exciting opportunity to honor those who have made significant contributions to the advancement and adoption of electric vehicles. From visionary environmental crusaders, policy influencers, to all of our EV advocates, we encourage everyone to take part in this prestigious event by submitting nominations for deserving individuals and organizations. Join us in honoring the trailblazers who continue to shape the future of transportation. Together, let us celebrate the achievements and remarkable progress made in the realm of electric vehicles.

Nominations open for:

  • EV Educator of the Year

    • Those in a public or private education role who are expanding access to educational opportunities that advance understanding of EV technology, charging, infrastructure, and the broader impacts of electric vehicles on society and the environment. This includes, but is not limited to: Teachers, Professors, School Administrators, Community College Instructors, Outreach Specialists, or other community members that serve in an educational capacity.

  • EV Legislative Ambassador of the Year

    • Publicly elected official who has elevated the role of EVs in their jurisdiction through impactful legislative actions and advocacy. This includes, but is not limited to:

      • Championing pro-EV legislation: Introducing, co-sponsoring, and advocating (even if not successful) for legislation that supports the adoption and deployment of EVs, such as:

        • Incentive programs, Infrastructure development, Regulatory reforms, Education and outreach programs, Leading by example, Collaborating with stakeholders, and advocating for policies that support a sustainable transportation future.

  • EV Young Professional Award: Age 18-30

    • Outstanding performance in electric vehicle adoption and education through relevant internships/work experience, research and publication, development of innovative EV-related projects, leadership roles in student, community or workplace organizations, community engagement, advocacy for EV adoption, mentoring and outreach, participation in EV-related competitions, or other noteworthy achievements.

  • EV Student of the Year

    • Student in grades K-12 (or equivalent) who has demonstrated interest and advocacy in electric vehicles within their sphere of influence. Ex: student started EV carpool, environmental club, hosted an EV show and tell or other creative venture.

  • EV City of the Year

    • This award honors cities that have implemented comprehensive EV policies and programs, such as offering financial incentives for EV purchases, investing in and expanding public charging infrastructure, transitioning government fleets to electric vehicles, and conducting public awareness campaigns. These cities have also demonstrated significant growth in EV adoption, as evidenced by increased EV registrations, a significant increase in the number and accessibility of public and private charging stations, and positive shifts in public opinion regarding EVs.

  • EV Influencer of the Year

    • This award recognizes a professional or amateur social media talent who has significantly impacted the public's perception of electric vehicles through engaging and informative content. This individual effectively utilizes their platform to educate followers about EV technology, dispel common misconceptions, and showcase the benefits of EV ownership. They may achieve this through entertaining and informative videos, engaging social media posts, live streams, podcasts, or other creative mediums. 

  • Expanding the Mission 

    • Non-profit organization that has collaborated with or compliments the mission of the Electric Vehicle Association. This can be EV related, but also can include any organizations that contribute to a similar mission.

  • Honorable Achievement

    • Individual, company, or group has made significant contributions to the adoption of EVs, including driver experience advancements, outreach campaigns, community engagement, and social media following/audience.
