Ford Releases the BlueCruise 1.2 Software Update

By Grant Gerke, Senior Communications Specialist, EVA

Ford’s BlueCruise is an advanced driving assistance system that allows for hands-free driving on highways.

Ford’s BlueCruise 1.2 software is out and this episode of the Mach-E Vlog explains the new driving features, including lane change assist and in-lane positioning. Our friends, Patrick and Liv, from the Mach-E Vlog tested out the Automated Driver Assistance System (ADAS) in the rain, at night, on two-lane roads, and heavy traffic. '

The technology behind Ford’s BlueCruise is precision GPS, cameras, and radar sensors to help the vehicle stay in the lane and maintain a safe distance from other vehicles.

In general, Patrick and Liv came away pleased with the handling, and experienced less “ping-ponging” between lanes with this new update. Patrick and Liv also answered questions throughout the episode about ping-ponging and past inquiries.
Besides testing, Patrick and Liv offer BlueCruise tips and notes at the end of the video. Happy viewing!
